PREPARING FOR YOUR PROCEDURE

  • do not remove/epilate hair before the procedure. This will allow me to see your natural brow line, correctly map your brows out and shape them, perfecting them to best suit your face shape and meet your expectations.
  • do not use henna for 2 weeks before pigmentation.
  • You can gently exfoliate your brows or lips. Please make sure that the pigmentation sites are well moisturised because this will allow your skin to absorb the pigment better.
  • do not use cold sore (herpes) treatment products like Heviran or Hascovir for 3 days before and after lip pigmentation.
  • no sun exposure for 2 weeks prior to the procedure.
  • do not consume any alcohol or psychotropic substances for 2 days prior to the procedure.
  • try not to drink coffee on the day of the treatment.
  • do not drink herbal teas (Rock Rose, Field Horsetail, St John’s Wort, Calendula, or Nettle teas) for one month prior to the procedure.
  • do not use brow or lash conditioners for two months before the pigmentation procedure.
  • if you are planning to have eyeliner pigmentation done and you have lash extensions they must be removed before the procedure.

HOW LONG DOES THE PROCEDURE TAKE?
You need to set aside 2-3 hours. We will do the brow contouring during your first visit. Once you have accepted the contour, we will select the right pigment shade for you and then begin the procedure.

IS THE PROCEDURE PAINFUL?

Everything depends on your personal tolerance to pain. To lessen the level of discomfort felt by you, I use topical anaesthetics to numb the area. You must bear in mind, however, that the final results will be better if less numbing creams are used because there will be less impurities in the skin, making it more receptive to the pigment and better for your skin.

AFTER THE PROCEDURE

It may seem that the pigment is too dark and somewhat exaggerated at first. Within a period of 4-7 days, however, the colour will be less intense and even 50-60% lighter than immediately after the procedure. There may be some redness and swelling in the pigmented area. This is a normal reaction and there is no reason for concern. The skin will soon start to heal and fully recover. Scabbing will form but they come off naturally on their own. The pigment will stabilise in the skin after 28 days. You will have to update the procedure after this time.

UPDATING THE PROCEDURE:

It is important to update the procedure to complete the pigmentation process. If you fail to turn up, the procedure will be incomplete. During the procedure touch up, I assess the outcome, emphasise the shape and fill in any gaps, and also enhance the colour should you feel that you want a stronger effect. An appointment is booked usually within 5-6 weeks of the first procedure to allow the pigment to stabilise in the dermis. This update only costs PLN 100 if the appointment is within 6 weeks of the first pigmentation procedure.

THE OUTCOMES:

Just how permanent the makeup is depends on personal factors like your age and the condition of your skin, its thickness, moisture content, sun exposure, and use of medication like hormones, antibiotics, herbs, exfoliants, as well as on your health, metabolism disorders, thyroid hormone fluctuations, the melanin content in the skin, haemoglobin, carotenes, the vascularisation of your skin, etc. What’s more, every person’s skin fulfils the role of a filter and protective barrier and has its own unique colour and hue. Bear in mind that permanent makeup is not the same as a tattoo because the pigment is closer to the skin’s surface and as your skin is shed over time, it will make the pigment look lighter. That’s why a permanent makeup touch up is recommended after about 1-1.5 years.

Remember that the way the colour of the pigment looks can differ from person to person ;)
